Yes, it's been ages but I've lost my motivations to be creative since the accident. I was suffering the physical head injury after effects for a few weeks after the accident. Apart from a finger I'm pretty much OK, just some pyschological issues to deal with regarding the location it happened but all in due course. The police are investigating and hopefully will prosecute and I'm persuing a PI claim as well.
The kids and hubby are well. Hard to believe that Jack is 10 now, he definitely seems older now and a little maturer at the moment.
I had a birthday last week and spent some birthday money at JAM, just lots a of little bits. Also wedding anniversary last week. So looking forward to this week off for halfterm, need a rest now and maybe kickstart myself scrapping again and maybe even a bit of textile art again. So many techniques I'd like to try from all the books and mags I keep buying on a regular basis.
I also took the plunge and booked myself on a retreat for next year - with Scrapagogo, will tell dh nearer the time.
The other great news is that I had to let my little runabout Fiesta go last month - failed MOT, out of the blue hubby manages to get a little Peugeot for next to nothing through his work and I'm independant again.
Well that's enough of an update for now, hopefully I'll be more regular next week.

Well, I'm back after a long break. Time flies by so quickly now we're back into termtime routine.
The last 7days have been particularly traumatic for me as last Sunday I was knocked down on the pavement as I was walking to school with the children. Fortunately, I stayed conscious and there were no broken bones. What has caught me by surprise is the psychological after effects, although that is to be expected.
However I shall feel back to normal in due course I expect.
Kids are very happy to be back at school and enjoying themselves. Our next family event to look forward to will be Jack's 10th birthday. Amazing thought to have been a parent for nearly 10 years. :)

One more day to go...
Well here we are having fun at Lepe Country Park. Bit of a cloudy, windy day but it was good to get away from the neighbourhood.
Came home with a good collection of shells.
Roll on Sunday morning is all I can say at the moment. I'm feeling very, very tired at the moment.
I so would NOT have another child now, very glad I ended at three. :)
Can't wait for some energy to get back to crafting.

I Will Survive...
Well, I'm currently mothering 6 kids and think I'm in the groove now. I've heard from sis and bil and they've arrived safely at their destination, everything seems to be going well.
Tomorrow my other sis and her two dd are coming over for the day, should be a nice distraction.
Personally I haven't accomplished much else apart from endless feeding kids and even more endless washing up! :(
Oh I tell a lie, I've done two machine loads of washing and a pile of ironing this afternoon.
However... what about some crafting in the evening? How will I summon the time and the energy to create anything. I'm desperate to get on with scrapping or a bit of mixed media art.
I feel I'm getting very friendly with the sofa and TV at the moment. :)
Ciao

New Beginnings
Another day of the school holidays over with. I did get rid of Maisie unexpectedly to a friends house round the corner this afternoon.
It's the time of day I dread now - getting the kids to bed without too much fuss. They all have to be away with lights out by 8pm or I start getting too stressed. Plus I have plans to scrapbook some more tonight and finish what I started last night. I discovered the fun of machine stitching on layouts.
Have to get an early night tonight as very tired at the moment, I always get into bad habits during the hols because I don't have to get up early in the mornings. Tomorrow needs to be a major clearup around the house before Saturday and a week of looking after 6 children 24/7!!!!!!!!!
I've just signed up for the free class Colorful Summer on BPS today and will find some time to listen to the teachers involved. I could do with kickstarting a bit. Fedup with trying to scrap my old, old pre-digi photos at the moment and need a reward.
Right, off to grab the bull by the horns i.e. 'Alice' :(
